When does the voting begin and end? The one and only Vote 4 The Best presented by Local 4, ClickOnDetroit.com and sponsored by The Detroit Medical Center will begin on Friday, September 2nd and run until Wednesday, November 16th at midnight. For the first time ever, Vote 4 The Best winners will be announced starting Thursday, November 24th during Local 4’s all-day exciting live coverage of America’s Thanksgiving Parade. Additional winner announcements will continue the following day during Local 4 News coverage of “Black Friday,” the largest retail sales day of the year.
We’re pleased to announce many new features in this year’s contest. Using an all-new platform powered by Web Services, we’ve made it easier than ever for you to edit your business profile and share your votes on Facebook and Twitter!

What’s new for businesses? We’ve listened to your suggestions, and have added dozens of new categories to best fit your business! You will be voted on in just one category, but may also select additional categories to be listed in all year long in our 4 The Best Guide. Another new feature is the ability to post a printed brochure or menu PDF file on your page.

What’s new for voters? Voters now have the opportunity to show their support for their favorites again and again, with one vote per week per category. That means each of your loyal customers can cast up to 11 votes for your business over 11 weeks of the contest!

Why participate? With hundreds of thousands of votes cast each year, Local 4’s Vote 4 The Best is the definitive guide to the very best of the metro area. It’s a true honor to be nominated to participate, and to win the Vote 4 The Best.

How do I get customers to vote for me? But, of course, we’ll also provide you with valuable tools to help get the word out. In the business center, you’ll find artwork featuring the official Local 4 Vote 4 The Best logo to print your own promotional material. You can even request a colorful window sticker.
